Possibly the most touristy/CROWDED place to be for cherry blossoms is Ueno Park.
If you are going to the park for the art museums, aquarium, zoo (in other words, paid areas), no problem… the cherry blossom crowds don’t go in there. But the highest level of crowds are the cherry blossom areas and free areas. I wouldn’t go on the weekend, as the trains to Ueno become super packed (if you don’t mind being packed like a sardine, by all means go for it).
These were take on a weekday, crowded…but not as crowded as on a Saturday or Sunday.
