My name is Dennis A. Amith and this is my blog that delves into lifestyle, menswear, personal style, food and travel.

So, while there are those who travel who focus on travel and those who write about fashion, focus on fashion, there is so many things I’m passionate about that things I want to write about, I go with the flow.

And in essence, whatever one finds on my website, if it helps or entertain others as well, then that’s wonderful!  It’s all good!

Q&A:

Are you Indian?

No.  While my family name “Amith” is typically used as a first name for people from Southeast Asia, according to my DNA… I’m 99% Filipino (to be specific Filipino American born and raised in the USA) and 1% Portugal (please don’t ask about the 1% as I have no idea).

How do you pronounce your last name?

You can say it like “Ah-mith” (as in open up and say ahh) or “A-mith” (like the A in apple) or “Ey-mith” (like the A in Ace).  I use the latter.

I notice you have interviewed many Japanese artists.  How is it someone from the US who is not Japanese write about Japanese entertainment?  How did you get into it?

It’s a sad story (which you can learn more by clicking here), but I believe in trying not to keep negative energy and changing it into a positive.  But I will say, each time I am asked this question and when I tell people, it’s not the answer that people expect.
