I have reviewed many sling bags, many which are either leather or those pertaining to tablet protection.
But this time around, I want to review tactical sling bags. While I have reviewed them before, this time I’m going to review the tactical bags from GZ XINXING.
It’s important to note that these bags are made in China (which many bags are these days), while it does show the American flag, this is not a “Made in USA” product. If you are fine with that, then read on. If not, this product is not for you.
The GZ XINXING Tactical Sling Backpacks are available in Black and Camo and cost only $18!!!
I have reviewed another bag similar, but the GZ XINXING is slightly different, which I will go more into in my review.
The bag is 12 inches in height, 9.5 inches in width and 6 inches in diameter.
Looking at the front, you will immediately notice the Molle design, with the two velcro strips on the top, three rows of nylon strips, each strip has four slots to hook up a carabiner, D-Rings or other related things.
For the making of a good backpack or sling/shoulder bag, my preference are large zippers that don’t break easily, so you do get two pockets in the front. The zippers are NOT large zippers I prefer, they are smaller single zipped zippers and each zipper has a nylon cord tied on it. The only pocket to utilize the larger zipper is the primary pocket.
The front bottom pocket features a good size pouch but behind it is a main pocket with more nylon straps (With four slots) to hold things other than pens, you also get a hook and an extra slim pocket.
The top pocket is another pouch which contains a row of nylon strip with three slots.
You then have the main pocket which has another zippered pocket, a velcro pocket, a non zippered pocket but a lot of room to carry things in. (12inches in heigh, 9 inches in width). This pocket is also double-zippered.
You get a padded shoulder strap with sunglass/eyeglass holders (two rings), two nylon straps, a button to hold more things (ie. a small tablet if needed (please note, there is no padding on bag to protect the tablet) and a storage strap to hold the waist strap, if you choose not to use it.
The top handle features two loops.
Inside, you will find the free gifts which GZ XINXING adds, such as a black USA flag patch (which is on the bag already), four multipurpose D-Rings Grimlock locking (these are plastic, not metal) and a waterproof rain cover (which was not included?).
For the most part, this is a decent tactical sling pack for the price. Unlike the competition, it comes with thinner zippers for the pockets, but uses the bigger zipper for the primary compartment. The shoulder strap has padding (which the competition doesn’t) and comes with different gifts. Also, the competition features better material and is water proof, this one is not waterproof, but comes with a waterproof rain cover (which was missing in my sling pack).
For the most part, it’s an OK tactical sling pack, but there are others which offer a better quality build than the GZ XINXING Tactical Sling Pack.
