The train driver apparently mistook the station where the train was supposed to stop. At around 1:50 p.m. on the 15th, the Happy Line Fukui Line, which runs through Fukui Prefecture, overshot Shikibu Station, where it was supposed to stop, by about 60 meters.
Shikibu Station is a new station that just opened last month, and the driver apparently mistakenly thought the train was supposed to stop at a different station.
