The One about the RK ROYAL KLUDGE M75 Mechanical Keyboard

When it comes to mechanical keyboards, a company that has been making a lot of positive noise is RK Royal Kludge.

Founded in 2015 by passionate gamers aiming to create the perfect mechanical keyboard, the group created the RK61 which would feature high quality switches and backlighting and gain respect from gamers for its quality and low cost.

RK Royal Kludge features high quality mechanical switches and options such as linear, tactile and clicky switches.

Today, I am checking out one of the higher end priced mechanical keyboards from RK Royal Kludge and it’s their M75 mechanical keyboard.

Similar to their other releases, you get three which are triple mode (Plug via USB-C, Bluetooth 5.1 and Wireless 2.4G), has RGB lighting, 81 keys (75%), hot swappable switches (PCB supports 3 pins/5 pins switches), two USB-C ports and a high capacity 3750mAh battery.

Also, what makes this keyboard that I’m using different from any mechanical keyboard which I have reviewed before is the LCD status display screen letting me know that I’m on which mode (wired, Bluetooth or wireless) and the battery status as well plus volume status.

Also, this version of the keyboard I am using uses the Silver Switch (Brown and Red Switches are available). But I wasn’t sure what the silver switch would be, so I decided to check this version out. It’s important to note that you get four extra silver switches and a keycap puller as well.

Typing on this keyboard is very smooth! I have only used RK Royal Sludge Brown Switches, but this one feels like a brown switch with a clicky spacebar, as it’s not necessarily red or clicky blue. But with that being said, there is a much louder click noise when you hit the space bar, but the other keys are similar to their brown switches which I have used on the RK98.k

But for the most part, I think people who use this keyboard will like how smooth it types. But if you really want super quiet, go for the red switch version.

As for the backlight, you get a variety of colors. Using the Fn and the backslash, you can use backlight mode, using the Fn with the comma button will let you switch to backlight color mode and you can easily use the Fn and arrow keys to control brightness and speed.

I own many 81 keyboards but I have to say that the volume button scroll wheel, triple mode and the LCD status display makes this RK ROYAL KLUDGE M75 Mechanical Keyboard the best I have used so far.  Yes, it’s a bit pricey at under $125, but not many keyboards like this include all these extra modes, a volume knob and a LCD status screen either.

For those who like quiet keys, as mentioned, the silver switch has a major click on the spacebar, so if you don’t like that, opt for the red switch.

But overall, I really like this RK ROYAL KLUDGE M75 Mechanical Keyboard a lot! Recommended!
