The One about the ZYBER Golf Club Attachment for Oculus Quest 2

As a person who plays a lot of VR golf, I have tested numerous golf club handle attachments and this time around, I will be reviewing the ZYBER Golf Club Attachment for the Oculus Quest 2 controllers.

First, I must say that I love the price for under $60. A lot of golf club handle attachments go above $60 and the fact that it’s under $50 is a plus. In fact, it’s $47, making it one of the more cheaper golf club attachments I have reviewed and also with what comes with it.

So, what is a golf club adapter for?

It’s specifically for the VR golfer who plays golf in real life and wants to work on their swing, their stance, etc.

While the ZYBER Golf Club attachment is not extendable (while it adds some realism, you really don’t need it for VR, mainly the grip is the primary thing you will want to work on, along with your swing) but it is one of the best golf club attachments for two things which many other attachments don’t offer:

  • Left and Right Hand Support
  • Left and Right Hand Support locking mechanism
  • Comes with extras!

So, let’s take a look at things closely.  For one, many golf club attachments are made for right handers.  The ZYBER Golf Club attachment is interesting because it comes with two attachments for left and right handed gamers/golfers.

Second, it doesn’t use velcro attachments or rely on the controller’s strap.  This one locks into the top of your Quest Controller, which locks it into place.

I have reviewed numerous golf club attachments for VR and while the velcro strap and using the controller strap works, unfortunately it also allows for little movement that can interfere with your gameplay.  Anything that locks from top to bottom and keeps the controller in place is not just great for gameplay, it’s also important for safety and I have never seen a locking mechanism like this.  In fact, ZYBER says it’s a patented quick-lock buckle design and it’s one of the best I have seen that allows for both left and right handed golfers.  That’s a major plus!

In addition, it comes with golf posture correction tools and two transparent silicone protective rings.  I would not use those silicone protective rings because I’ve tested these before and it somehow is not fully transparent and can wreak havok during gameplay as the cameras can fail to detect your hands and you can see your golfing hands or the club far from you due to bad tracking.  So, you don’t need the silicone protective ring.

The plastic used is ABS reinforced and the grip is also well-made and  for the most part, it really is one of the my favorite golf club adapters that has been released because of price and quality, but of the many adapters I have tested, anything that has a locking mechanism not just at the bottom but at the top, locking it in from the top Quest 2 controller ring is important.  And this does just that.

And again, not many adapters provide support for left-handed gamers.  This adapter comes with both left and right locking mechanisms.

The ZYBER Golf Club Attachment for Oculus Quest 2 is highly recommended!
