The One about the Mypin Bluetooth Cassette Player

Do you still own your oldschool cassette tapes?

Well, Mypin takes the old school concept of having a cassette walkman but updates it to modern standards by including bluetooth. Bringing together old school and some of today’s technology.

You can connect your headset or bluetooth speakers to it which is cool and while $33.99, it doesn’t compare to the old school cassette walkmans from the past. In someways, for those who grew up during the ’80s, those oldschool walkmans were so durable that if you dropped it, it would still play.

I can’t say that much for the Mypin Bluetooth Cassette Player because so much of it is plastic. To be truthful, I think a Transformers Soundwave G1 would survive the impact much better than this cassette player.

But with that being said, as a cassette player, I like it has the autoreverse, I like that it offers connectability with bluetooth speakers and headphones and has a 3.5mm AUX jack.

But it’s not perfect on the Bluetooth front as it does not support Bluetooth 5.0 which does affect audio quality. As for audio, Mypin says “Audio Sample Rates : 44.1 and 48kHz@16-bit,Support high-quality stereo L/R output”.

It does run with two AAA batteries (not included) and for the most part, the device is functional.

But I feel its price is justified, because you can’t really find cassette walkmans anymore and it does have blueooth, but for those who grew up in the era of cassette walkmans, aside from the bluetooth, the durability of this walkman pales in comparison to what we had back in the day.
