The One about the Heegomn Night Vision Binoculars

I have been looking for night vision binoculars and I decided to give the Heegomn Night Vision Binoculars a try.

At under $200, these night vision binoculars features a 2.3 inch inner screen (320×240 resolution color wide LCD screen display), wireless capability for iOS and Android phones, allowing for photography (1280×960 pixels), video, having 7 IR levels, ip56 waterproof, has a playback function and comes with a USB cable for transfers.

The binoculars are Infrared night vision goggles with a CMOS sensor, 850 NM IR illuminator with 7 grades infrared adjustment allowing a range of 300m/984 ft. in 100% darkness.

The batteries require 6 AA batteries (not included) and has storage capacity of up to 32GB (TF card not included).

Here are my thoughts on the binoculars.

For one, you need to look at the wide screen not on the telescoping ends (like you would with normal binoculars). One thing that would have improved things is putting some padding on the edges as you will put this thing towards your face and it can be a bit uncomfortable. Not a dealbreaker though.

The night vision works extremely well in 100% darkness. The farther the distance, the better, the closer things are, not so good. So, you will want to be a distance away.

I agree with other reviewers that the quality of what you see is not as clear as one would hope. But I don’t have night vision binoculars at the same price point to compare. The graphic image shows a racoon taking up the whole screen but you are not getting a whole screen on video. Think of a widescreen film and watching a 4:3 standard video. So, in other words, you’ll see a square box in the middle, as the whole screen is not utilized as shown on the product graphic.

I will say that it took a while to figure out the button controls, as it was confusing at first, again not a deal breaker.

For the most part, the Heegomn Night Vision Binoculars is cool as a night vision binocular but I would have loved to see it more towards the $150 pricepoint versus a $200 pricepoint. It’s a bit expensive and the graphic image used for the product may be a bit misleading.

But the product works very good as night vision binoculars but don’t expect crystal clear video.

I give the Heegomn Night Vision Binoculars 3.5 stars!
