The One about LONCAFE at Naka-Meguro

In the Shonan area of Enoshima (A beachside community in Kanagawa Prefecture), Japan’s first “French Toast” specialty stores opened.

Known as LONCAFE, the cafe’s theme is resort life and Shonan culture.

The LONCAFE at Naka-Meguro is a smaller location, so I didn’t want to take too many photos of the interior with the place so packed.

But they offer a variety of coffee, tea, herb tea and alcohol.

but of course, the highlight of LONCAFE is the French Toast and just think what if the popular breakfast meal was made with elegance and flair.

As I have shown how Japan has taken the concept of pancakes to a whole new level, LONCAFE does the same with French Toast.

If anything, the French Toast was delicious, well-plated and as what I was expecting, they are small!  But as one can expect, especially if you ate at pancake restaurants in Japan, the similar pricing is also at LONCAFE.  Expect to pay a bit more for the French Toast.

The most expensive while I was there were the Turffle White Sauce (Y1260),  Berry & Chocolate (Y980), Lime Cream Tiramisu (Y950), Creme Brulee (Y950), while many of the others are between. You may find yourself really enjoying it!Y780-980.

For those who don’t want french toast, they also offer a Kamakura BLT (Y980), Affogato (Y930) and so much more.

Also, for those there just to sit and chance and drink a beverage or partake in spirits, there are many types of beverages offered.  While the most expensive drink is the Dom Perignon (Y25,000) and the Ruinart (Y15,000).

Overall, if you are wanting to try Japanese-style French Toast, then definitely give it a chance. You may find yourself really enjoying it!
