The One about the ORIX Buffaloes Part 2 & B-WAVE, the ORIX BUFFALOES Official Team Store Part 1

Continuing from yesterday’s post about the teams that made up the ORIX Buffaloes, I will now discuss B-WAVE, the ORIX Buffaloes Official Team Store.

Typically when you visit a baseball team store in Japan, the official store is in near proximity to the home stadium.

In the past, the original stadiums for the Hankyu Braves/ORIX BlueWaves were Takarazuka Stadium (1936), the Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium (1937-1990) and the Kobe Sports Park Baseball Stadium (1991-2004, 2006).

For the ORIX Buffaloes, their home stadium was the Kyocera Dome Osaka.  And with the merger of the two teams, ORIX kept Kintetsu Buffaloes’ stadium Kyocera Dome Osaka and the Buffaloes name.

While the ORIX Blue Waves kept the blue and gold and their official team store is kept in Kobe.

So, the B-WAVE store and the Kyocera Dome Osaka are quite a distance away.  But fortunately most teams have multiple stores and during the season, there is also a smaller store at the stadium.

B-WAVE is located right next to Sannomiya Station.  Convenient for transportation and also for shopping.

In tomorrow’s post, I will feature the type of merchandise one can find at B-WAVE, the ORIX BUFFALOES Official Team Store.
