So far I have been impressed with the FishTrip brand fishing hooks and today I am reviewing the FishTrip Baitholder Double Barbed Offset Fishing Hooks (100-pack / Size #10-4/0).
So, what are these hooks for? Well, because baitholder hooks have an elongated shank, you can put longer baits on them without the bait sliding down. Granted, I still use the Magic String to really keep my baits in place, may it be worms, shrimp, fish, etc. on to the hook especially on hard/long casts, especially when it lands on impact.
These hooks are also offset, so the hook is not 100% vertical to the shank but at an offset angle for a higher hook up rate.
These are brass colored and it’s important to note that these are double-barbed, actually triple barred as you have two barbs on the shank and one at the hook area. So, check your local fishing regulation if barbed hooks are allowed in your state/region/province. In my area, barbed is still legal to use and for a 100-pack for under $11, that’s a darn good price!
Overall, the FishTrip Baitholder Double Barbed Offset Fishing Hooks (100-pack / Size #10-4/0) is a great value and are worth recommending!
