DAIWA is one of the top tier fishing companies from Japan, as well as one of the top Japanese manufacturing companies that produces fishing equipment, tennis, golf and biking gears.
Founded in 1955 as Matsui Manufacturing, in 1958, the company changed their name to Daiwa Precision Works Corporation.
In 2009, the parent company renamed the company Globeride, Inc., while globally the company kept the DAIWA brand name.
