I have been using the VEWOE TR90 Polarized Sunglasses with UV Protection for fishing all week and I have to say that these sunglasses are awesome!
Sold for around $22, these sunglasses come in various options and I chose white frame with blue visor.
So, let’s break things down. What is polarized? So, polarized sunglasses use a chemical filter that blocks horizontal light waves, so it neutralizes harsh glare caused by sunlight reflecting off flat surfaces like water, snow and roads and improving visual clarity and reducing eye strain.
What is UV400? This is the highest standard for sun protection in eyewear that blocks 99% to 100% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Light is measured in nanometers (nm) and the UV spectrum ranges from 100nm to 400nm, so with these sunglasses being UV400 means it is the absolute barrier that blocks all UV light rays. UVB causes sunburns and photokeratitis (eye “sunburn”), while UVA penetrates deeper into the eye and contributes to long-term issues like cataracts. UVA covers both.
So, this is where things are so cool. For one, one time fishing during overcast, everything look good and full of color. But most of the fishing I do is in absolute sunlight, especially during the hot summer and when I put these sunglasses on, everything looks great. Remove them and the water is reflecting the sun like crazy. So, having these sunglasses during fishing have made it much easier to see what’s in the water, especially the fish and your fishing line.
While these are not a major brand name of sunglasses, the VEWOE TR90 Polarized Sunglasses with UV Protection are awesome! They are very light (25g) and they also come with a fishing like test artwork on paper, so you can see for yourself with them on and off and how much you miss without the polarized glasses on.
I really do like them a lot. Also, like how wide they are, compared to my other sunglasses that I use for biking and fishing.
Overall, I give the VEWOE TR90 Polarized Sunglasses with UV Protection a thumbs up!
