The Winteriew 100 pcs. Speed Clips are smaller speed clips that are 0.5 inches and strength is at 25 lb.
There are people who choose to use these for their lures instead of snap locks with barrel swivels and connect to their main line. Also, can be used for rigs as well.
I prefer to use speed clips for topwater and most moving lures and connect to split rings (helps to have split ring pliers handy). These are helpful for very quick lure changes without retying but just know that unlike snap locks with barrel swivels that help prevent line twists, speed clips do not prevent line twists. But I haven’t noticed any action hindrance due to speed clips.
Note that Winteriew says they are corrosion resistant and wear resistant and that remains to be seen because I’ve tried tough ones that said they were and they actually rusted, so we’ll see how these work in the long run.
Overall, for under $6, it’s a pretty darn good price. The Winteriew 100 pcs. Speed Clips are again, the smaller type about a half in long and great for anything under 25 lb. Recommended!
