I have heard of these fishing line strippers before, but I kept telling myself? Do I really need it?
For so long, I have just used an empty line spool and flip the bail open on a reel and just wind it up on the spool and it’s been like that. Take your time, watch a movie or TV while you spool the line from a reel. It’s going to take about 15 min. to half an hour depending on how big the reel is.
But I know, not many people have the time for that and for me, I had to give the Suovixa Fishing Line Stripper. It’s a similar concept of what I was doing but the difference is that you connect it to a drill and literally strip the line from a reel in seconds. Yes, seconds.
It’s quite easy. and you just loosen the wing nut, place the line between the cones and tighten the wing nut and attach to a power drill and that is it! Very easy! And to disregard the old line, just loosen up the wing nut all the way and pull apart one side of the cone and that’s it. Again, very easy!
But is it worth it to invest in the Suovixa Fishing Line Stripper? I can easily say that it’s quick and convenient but it’s a major time saver! So, it really depends on you and if you rather strip a reel line in seconds vs. 15 min. or half an hour.
But overall, very easy and it’ll work on mono, fluoro and braid. It can also do string and yarn but overall, the Suovixa Fishing Line Stripper is a tool worth owning!
