For those going outdoors in unknown areas, the Toyosport Snake Gaiters for hiking, hunting, camping, fishing, yard work and farm work may be worth considering.
They are called snake gaiters because the goal is to protect people from walking in an area and getting bitten by a snake and also for outdoor and environmental shielding from thorns, cactus needles, sharp brush and insects. Also to prevent rocks, dirt, rocks and twigs from entering the top of your hiking boots.
So, why do I use these snake gaiters? Especially for fishing?
Well, I surf in the country side where our rivers are located and while there are snakes, there are also weeds with thorns near the river banks. While I wear boots, there are times where your lower foot area is going to get hit by puncture vines (Tribulus terrestris), the dreaded plan that is known for creating goathead/caltrop star shaped burs. And other weeds that tend to get your knees.
These snake gaiters help prevent that because those puncture vines can really hurt! And if you ride a bike, they are extremely irritating.
Unfortunately, my back yard gets these plants and it’s just a terrible weed.

So, these snake gaiters really do help. They are made from waterproof Oxford nylon and in these are PP board shielding from calf to ankle.
There are two straps that go around each leg and a strap that goes under the shoe.
Color is dark green which matches my sunhat.
So, may you be hiking, fishing or doing yard/farmwork, the Toyosport Snake Gaiters for hiking, hunting, camping, fishing and yard/farm work is worth it if you want to protect your calf to ankles from snake bites, insects and thorny, irritating weeds that you may come across. At under $24, it’s recommended!
