If there is one thing in my fishing gear that I can never have not enough of are barrel swivels.
I am reviewing the Atibin Stainless Steel Barrel Swivel SUS304. I am using a #4 (123 lb.) round swivel that comes with 50 pieces. They are made of stainless steel and is corrosion resistant but the reason why I prefer steel barrel swives is because they have a smooth 360 degree rotation to prevent any tangling.
So, what are barrel swivels for? They are for tying a leader to your main line, so let’s say you are running braid as your main line, you run a fluoro leader. And even better is that these barrel swivels are under $10.
Just remember that since the company offer many sizes and with each size shows you the appropriate weight it can hold.
So, while I ordered a #4 which quite small, it can hold up to 123 lb. So, if I catch a chunky bass or carp, this barrel swivel will work perfectly. Of course, there are other factors that make it important from your line weight, your knots that you tie (especially if you are using fluoro, your knots can either lead to being strong which is great or bad that it can snap).
But these are great for those wanting to tie a leader line to their main line! Recommended!
