The One about the 30th anniversary of the Bahama Shirt, Columbia’s flagship fishing shirt

Columbia (Columbia Sportswear Japan Co., Ltd., Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo / Representative: Massimo Lazzari), which has consistently provided highly original and innovative outdoor wear since its founding in 1938, and JAM VINTAGE & SELECT (JAM TRADING Co., Ltd., Osaka-shi, Osaka Prefecture / Representative Director: Masanori Fukushima), a vintage clothing store boasting the largest number of overseas vintage clothing items in Japan, will hold “The Bahama 30th ANNIVERSARY EVENT” to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Bahama Shirt, a fishing shirt that Columbia has been selling since 1996 and is loved by many people.

In 1996, Columbia launched “Columbia PFG (Performance Fishing Gear),” a line specifically for fishing. The “Bahama Shirt,” which debuted that same year, boasted high-quality details from the start and, due to its comfortable fit, became a beloved item representing the brand, not only for fishing but also as everyday wear and adopted as uniforms by various companies.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Bahama Shirt, Columbia will be holding “The Bahama 30th ANNIVERSARY EVENT” for three days from May 15th to 17th at its flagship store “COLUMBIA TOKYO FLAGSHIP” located on Meiji-dori in Harajuku, Tokyo, and at “JAM VINTAGE&SELECT Harajuku,” Tokyo’s largest vintage clothing store, also located on Meiji-dori.

During the event, “COLUMBIA TOKYO FLAGSHIP” will use carefully selected items from the vast inventory of vintage clothing store JAM to display archive items tracing the 30-year history of Bahama shirts, as well as rare items featuring custom embroidery from various companies and organizations.

Additionally, during the same period, we will be offering an original embroidery service using Columbia PFG’s archive designs for customers who purchase a Bahamas shirt.

Additionally, “JAM VINTAGE&SELECT Harajuku” will be featuring a Bahama Shirt POP UP corner showcasing older designs of Bahama shirts that are not currently available, past limited-edition colors, and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces that have been customized and embroidered overseas.

During the event period, the above stores will be giving away an original booklet, “The Bahama 30th ANNVERSARY Booklet,” supervised by the men’s fashion magazine 2nd. Additionally, customers who visit both the Columbia and JAM stores will receive an event-exclusive novelty item, a “Columbia PFG Sticker.” (Supplies are limited, so this offer will end when supplies run out.)
