This video was filmed around 5 p.m. on the 25th. Sensing a human presence, the animal paused for a moment before suddenly running off. According to a graduate student from Nagoya University who filmed the video, the animal, believed to be a Kamoshika/Japanese serow (a national natural monument), appeared near the Faculty of Science building.

Nagoya Chikusa Police Station: “We received a report and searched with the university’s permission, but could not find it. If you see one, do not approach it unnecessarily and contact the police.”

In principle, capturing or culling animals designated as natural monuments is prohibited. (From the April 26, 2026 broadcast) [TV Asahi NEWS]
