As a person who absolutely enjoys FeelThere’s “Tower! Simulator 3”, from its plethora of DLC available now (payware) and of course the many freeware that many others have shared on FeelThere’s Discord, And as a guy who enjoys traveling the world and visiting many locations and riding many planes, I also have been a big fan of air traffic controller games.
When it comes to “Tower! Simulator 3”, Nyerges Design is already well-known for having one of the must have apps for “Tower! Simulator 3” with the “World Traffic & World Color Bundle” (this allows you to have real life liveries from actual airlines as well as real schedules and accurate terminal layout) that you is a paid software you can get via the FeelThere website (note: You will need to download the FeelThere portal application and if you do own the software, remember to scan and update often as you add new airports or run an update on TS3).
But Nyerges Design also releases their own airports on STEAM (such as KFLL, KMCO, EDDM, EDDB, RJTT, EKCH, EGKK, LEBEL and more!) and most recently I have been playing their “EHEH Airport” DLC (Eindhoven Airport).
EHH AIRPORT (EINDHOVEN AIRPORT):
Eindhoven Airport is located in Eindhoven, Netherlands and is the second largest airport in the Netherlands.
Founded in 1932 with its grass strip known as Welschap Airfield, and now the airport features a single 3,000-meter asphalt runway.
With the runway planning to undergo a complete reconstruction starting in February 2027, what beter than now to get an airport that everyone can enjoy. And the best thing, it’s only $12.99 US.
GAMEPLAY:
With EHEH Airport being a single runway, you would imagine this to be as simple as other single runway airports. And for the most part, it is true. But it depends on Density.
During my first playthrough, without the Nyerges Design schedule, I found it quite easy with the original FeelThere schedule implemented but once I added the Nyerges Design Schedule, 80-100% Density literally slams one arrival and three planes needing pushback and that took me by surprise. Definitely a major difference in how busy the two schedules were.
But it’s important to remember that the beauty of “Tower! Simulator 3” is that you choose how busy you want the airport to be via Quick Play. Play to your own skill level and adjust the Density if you feel you are up for a bigger challenge.
With that being said, because this is a single runway, you are not going to get a huge number of flights compared to a two, three or four runway airport. That’s logical. But it again, up that density and you can find things becoming busier!
I also have to say that it makes it a big difference to use the Nyerges Design liveries as they really capture the actual airlines but also brings a bit of color as some of the original FeelThere liveries can use a modern graphic design update as they look way too simple.
GRAPHICS:
Graphics look very good from a distance, airplanes and their liveries look great closeup, but as for the airport graphics, it’s not super high detailed but with a game that focuses on a lot of speed, voice recognition, etc., for a lot of people, some people don’t want graphics that will affect gameplay.
Also, most of the time you will be spending your time looking at the monitor consoles. It’s just on those breaks from a flight departure or arrival, you can get to look at an airport fully.
It’s also important that many of us use MIYO (this app is on STEAM) to add different weather patterns, including clouds.
ONE THING THAT IS IMPORTANT:
After you download EHEH and go to see if Nyerges Design is added on the DLC main config game setup screen, if you notice that it shows “Not Compatible” it means you haven’t updated the FeelThere Portal (or the Nyerges Design app).
I had this issue and verification of the DLC files did not fix it. What fixed it was actually uninstalling the “World Traffic & World Color Bundle” on the FeelThere Portal and although it shows nothing was added, i did see the Nyerges Design folder appeared on the EHEH databases folder (before it would only show as Default) and then I was able to add the Nyerges Design via Airport Database and Airplane Set.
JUDGMENT CALL:
Single runway airports tend to go cheaper and for EHEH airport, fortunately it’s an inexpensive software that those who are new to the game, may want to pick this one up because it’s suitable for beginners, intermediate and advance players. Again, setting density to your skill level is important.
The DLC is well-priced without a sale but when there is a sale, I’m sure it would be a few dollars cheaper but just know that Nyerges Design airports do not always go on sale when FeelThere “Tower! Simulator 3” airports go on sale (use steamdb to track pricing).
I also added the Departure Board and Announcements made by Birdie (this is available on the FeelThere Discord under user-edits), which was fun to have other announcements.
But overall, on its own, whether or not you add “World Traffic & World Color Bundle”, the “EHEH Airport DLC” from Nyerges Design is still a really good single runway airport that won’t hurt the wallet and is a lot of fun!
Definitely recommended!
