I was recently in a bind where I need to install an operating system via .ISO and didn’t have any USB flash drive sticks on me to burn a Linux distro. But I do have a lot of Micro SD’s and it happens that I also have the 2 Slots SD/Micro SD Card Reader Card Reader USB 3.0 Memory Card Adapter.
So, pretty much you can use your Micro SD cards as a USB flash stick with this adapter. There is also a cover to ensure your cards don’t fall out.
It worked perfectly. Put the Micro SD into the adapter and see if my computer recognized it and it did. In fact, this adapter can take SD, SDXC, SDHC, MMC, RS-MMC, Micro SDXC and Micro SDHC cards as well.
But this makes it convenient also, if you are a photographer and have a laptop with no MicroSD ports, then you can easily use this to transfer your files.
If anything, with Micro SD’s now so inexpensive, this adapter has come very useful for me to store files and I absolutely find this adapter to be worth owning. Will probably get more! It’s that useful!
