The One about doing another Christmas Film Marathon for 2023

Since 2021, I have been doing a Christmas Marathon on my blog by watching a Christmas film for many consecutive days.

For 2021, it started before Thanksgiving and in 2022, it started on November 1st.  And I plan to repeat that on November 1st of 2023.

My family thinks I’m crazy for doing such a thing, but for me, Christmas is always special in my heart because I can remember watching Christmas specials or films on television and it was one of the more happier moments of my life. But I think for many children, Christmas is a special time, especially if you grew up with a family who partook in Christmas celebrations.

But like many people, those happy moments, it only lasts for so long.

Especially when the people you shared those moments with, are no longer part of your life or no longer living.

I miss those times and while I do celebrate Christmas, nothing beats those moments when you were a child and you got that surprisingly awesome toy(s) or Christmas gift that your parents or grandparents got for you. Especially those grand family reunions where dozens of people come from afar and everyone gets in the Christmas spirit.

I do miss those moments. I really do.

In 2021, it was rather memorable because I was bedridden due to health issues and watching these Christmas films help put my mind at ease, while I was in pain.  In 2022, no major health issues until early 2023, which I continue to have gone through medical testing for many times this year alone.  If anything, I just want to enjoy the moment and live it like it’s my last.

But for now, I started a new Christmas tradition.  This time, by watching Christmas films. Not sure if there are enough for me to access and enjoy, as I watched so many these past two years. But we’ll see how things go!
