The One about Natalie Ai Kamauu’s “21n158w”

If there is a music artist from Hawaii who I can easily say, has an “angelic voice” would be Natalie Ai Kamauu.

Natalie made her debut in 2005 with her album “E” and since then has accumulated numerous Na Hoku Hanohano Award for “Female Vocalist of the Year”. She was also 1990 Miss Aloha Hula and a 2016 Grammy Nominee for “LA LA LA LA”.

And an album that I am listening to is her 2019 album “21n158w”, which she won sixth Na Hoku Hanohano Award for 2019 “Female Vocalist of the Year”. While the coordinates for latitude and longitude leads to Wahiawa on the island of Oahu in Honolulu County.

But what I love about her music is the calming effect and the positive vibe it gives. I know that when I listen to her music, you are in for a wonderful time. But it also proved important for me to listen to during the beginning of the pandemic.

It’s important for everyone to know that the majority of all songs are presented in Hawaiian with the exception of a few songs such as “All You Need is Love” and “Under the Moon”.

The opening track “Kuu Lei Makame” featuring her husband, Iolani Kamauu, owner of Keko Records in Ewa Beach and also a music artist.

For the most part, you get 11 solid tracks that are exceptionally sung. The melodies of each song are wonderful and it’s a wonderful combination of traditional Hawaiian songs with modern flair.

There is not one bad song on this album, in fact, it’s one of those non-stop albums that you just want to listen to from beginning to end.

Natalie Ai Kamauu’s music and that calming angelic voice is just wonderful and her 2019 album “21n158w” is highly recommended!
