I have been using my expensive heavy duty sunshade (made of NASA material) for years but the top has been fraying and so I have been looking at a trendy Umbrella-Foldable Car Sunshade.
So, how do they work? Well, it works like an umbrella. You press a button and you lift up the umbrella which is specially shaped to fit your front car windshield.
Just know that these general purpose, so with every windshield size being different, some parts will be covered, some may not.
For my car, it does cover most of the windshield, as it does give off a bit of excess, as it’s slightly bigger than my car windshield.
So, it does work.
But with that being said, because I have a driver recorder and also my cell phone holder, you have to do a lot of adjusting. Fortunately, the top has a little shape to fit around the rear mirror where my drive recorder is located.
So, in that aspect it does work.
It also comes with a holder.
But will I ditch my expensive sunshade for this? Not sure, as I do like how this works, but my expensive sunshade is very thick an durable. And this is thin like an umbrella.
But again, it’s specially made as a sunshade as you get the outside being silver and the inside being black.
But it does work and again, depending on the size of the window, it may be slightly bigger or slightly smaller but for the most part, it’s well-made, easy to use and it does work.
