Yesterday, I was in the mood to watch the 1989 rom-com “When Harry Met Sally” and yes, to this day (for me anyway) it continues to be one of great romantic comedies ever made. Decades later and I still love this film.
And the film was among the 25 selected films chosen for the National Film Registry for 2022, which was announced on December 14th.
But upon watching it for possibly the thousandth time (this is a film that I absolutely love and never get tired of), I started to zero in on the fashion of the film and I shared it with fellow prepsters and I agree, the combination of the acting, writing, music (esp. the awesome soundtrack by Harry Connick Jr.).
As for the fashion aspect, Billy Crystal’s character Harry Burns sported LL Bean fisherman’s sweater, argyle v-neck vest and tweed jacket which was cool.
I absolutely loved Meg Ryan in this film. As for Meg Ryan’s Sally Albright, gotta love the cardigan, loafers, tweed and corduroy blazers.
