The One about the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB Wireless Amplified Gaming Headset

I have reviewed numerous Turtle Beach gaming headsets over the years and for 2022, I am reviewing the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB Wireless Amplified Gaming Headset.

It’s very different aesthetically compared to past Turtle Beach headsets as this one is available in white and the other in black, black with green trim, midnight red, camouflage, cobalt blue and more.

So, you get a lot of variety of colors and it’s important to note that there is the Stealth 600 Gen 2 and the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max.

So, what are the differences?

The Stealth 600 Gen 2 offers 24+hour battery life, lag free 2.4 GHz Wireless Connection, Immersive 3D Audio, 50mm Speakers, Gen 2 Mic for clearer chat, Glasses friendly ear cushions and also a superhuman hearing sound setting. While the Stealth 700 Gen 2 offers an even longer battery at 40+ hours, is BlueTooth App Compatible and gel-cooled memory foam ear cushions and tuned for immersive surround sound (offers 50mm Nanoclear).

And of course, price differences are by $60 as the Stealth 700 Gen 2 goes for under $140, the Stealth 600 Gen 2 goes for under $80.

So, I have been able to test this headset and one thing that I noticed immediately is how this fit on my head. Usually, that’s not something I notice these days, but for the Stealth 600 Gen 2, I did notice it.

The mic is flip to mute and possibly one of the bigger things that may make it or break it for some people is if you need Bluetooth.

If you do, then the Stealth 700 is the way to go. It’s also the way to go if you prefer to have a longer lasting battery. And also, if you are picky about the headset foam as the Stealth 600 Gen 2 uses fabric-wrapped foam, the Stealth 700 Gen 2 uses Aerofit Memory Foam.

The Stealth 600 Gen 2 headsets are wireless but you need to make sure that receiver is close by. And the 24 hour battery is about right. You really need to charge these after each use.

Sound quality is very good with the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB Wireless Amplified Gaming Headset. In fact, Turtle Beach has not disappointed me after all these years of reviewing their gaming headsets.

But I do notice that by offering different price ranges, their Stealth 700 Gen 2 line is the premium, while the Stealth 600 Gen 2 is more mid-range.

But with that being said, there is a lot of competition now. Moreso, more than ever before when it comes to gaming headsets that are now under the $50 range and pretty much you pay a little more for that brand name.

Fans who love Turtle Beach products will like the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB Wireless Amplified Gaming Headset but with the fierce competition out there esp when it comes to pricing and that the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max offers much more and is a better premium product.

At its current price point, the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB Wireless Amplified Gaming Headset is expensive yet good, just not great. If you can, go for the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max!
