The One about the J.M. Haggar Premium Men’s Mid-Length Single Breasted Brushed Twill Topcoat

I am a believer that you can’t go wrong with beige or camel outerwear.

Pair them up with blue jeans, black or similar color pants, black loafers and black dress shirt and it looks just great. Not just on men but also women.

And today, I am reviewing the J.M. Haggar Premium Men’s Mid-Length Single Breasted Brushed Twill Topcoat.

For those not familiar with J.M. Haggar, Joseph Marion Haggar is a Lebanese immigrant who founded the Haggar Company back in 1926. They coined the term “slacks” back in 1938 as they felt certain pants could be word during “slack time” away from work and the company is also known for supplying over 10 million uniforms to the military back in 1942.

During the ’50s, they were the first menswear brand to advertise on national television and by the ’60s, they were the no. 1 pants brand in America.

They produce the Pro-Football Hall of Fame “Gold Jacket”, they were on the forefront of creating sustainable fibers for casual and dress pants back in 2009 and premium no iron khakis in 2015.

So, this company is pretty much a clothing company with nearly 100 years of craftmanship.

And most importantly, they are a company that produces affordable wear.

Which brings me back to the J.M. Haggar Premium Men’s Mid-Length Single Breasted Brushed Twill Topcoat.

The coat is made of 46% polyester, 26% acrylic, 13% Rayon, 8% Nylon, 4% Wool, 3% other. Fabric description is twill and the lining is polyester and this jacket should only be dry-cleaned.

The top coat features two inside slip pockets, two side slip pockets (both inside and slip pockets are roomy). There is also an inside button pocket.

What I like about this jacket is that it lightweight, so no, I would not wear this during frigid temperatures, but you can wear this over a suit or layer. It’s more or less a top coat designed for style, has a vented back and for the most part, providing extra warmth, while looking stylish.

It’s important to note that J.M. Haggar offers another type of top coat that is similar but very different. What I’m reviewing is Style #HQ00072 from Amazon, the version that is sold on the Haggar website is the #70089. Difference is in fabric, the other is 64% cotton, 34% rayon and 2% elastane and can be machine washed. It also looks lighter.

I have traveled the world and observe and partake in fashion to know that camel colored jackets are hip and while in other countries, it had gotten the distinction of color for the more seasoned gentleman, that was more in the past as people found ways to add chick and richness to the camel coat.

But I do like the J.M. Haggar Premium Men’s Mid-Length Single Breasted Brushed Twill Topcoat, I love the price and for the most part, I really do like it!
