For 2022, KITTE in Marunouchi (right across from Tokyo Station), their “WHITE KITTE” Christmas event has been announced for November 24th through December 25th.
The theme will be “Kitte no Mori Winter Forest Christmas ~Gifts from Nature~” and “WHITE KITTE” is in its ninth year since its opening.
A tree with a total length of 12m (39 feet) using a real fir tree appears. The nine trees with different heights are made from thinned wood from Hinohara Village in Tokyo and fir trees from Tsumagoi Village in Gunma Prefecture.
In addition, the snowflakes that spread out beyond the tree, representing the snow falling in the forest, fall delicately from the ceiling in various sizes. The snowflakes are made from 100% recycled milk cartons and are made from mildan, which is an eco-friendly and sustainable decoration similar to the tree.
