Kwon Eun Bi is one of those artists I love to watch.  Not only does she have wonderful visuals but she can sing and dance and when she takes the stage, she goes into superstar mode.

But I have to say that the former IZ*ONE leader has shown such diversity with each album release.

For example, for her first mini album “OPEN”, it showed a more mature side of Eun Bi, with her debut solo track “Door”.

Her second mini-album “Color” featured her upbeat “Glitch”.

And while I enjoyed both albums, having watched Kwon Eun Bi perform with IZ*ONE, she can deliver in dance tracks which showcase a sultry, sexy girl crush/pop diva style.  And she did trhat with her Universe Music track “ESPER”.

But here we are with her third mini-album and this month is no doubt going to be an exiting one because with the October promotionals, Kwon Eun Bi will be releasing a single on the same day as fellow IZ*ONE Lee Chaeyeon, who is making her debut.  In a way, this is rather fascinating because when both were featured on “Produce 48”, they were  pit against each other, as both could dance and sing.

And they became close with one another during their 2.5 years as members of IZ*ONE.

What is also exciting that Eun Bi’s former Woolim Entertainment and former IZ*ONE teammate, Kim Chaewon and former IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura (both of the group LE SSERAFIM) and also former IZ*ONE member turned solo artist/actress, Jo Yuri are all releasing new music in October.  So, many will get to see a mini-reunion of former IZ*ONE members on the music shows as they each will be promoting their mini-albums.

With that being said, I have listened to “Lethality” numerous times now and I have to say that this mini-album, is what I expect from Eun Bi and that fast, upbeat dance music that I know she was capable of, with a faster tempo than “Glitch” and a chance for her to show off another side of her vocals with a different style of music compared to the last two mini-album songs.

“WAVE” is an instrumental intro, which sets up for her main, upbeat dance track, “Underwater”.

And while some may have their own taste of which music they prefer, while I really liked her previously released songs, I enjoyed “Underwater” the most.  It’s sexy, upbeat and it’s a style that suits her.  And it’s a song that many fans have hoped to hear.  A concept most appropriate and she slayed!

The third track is “Croquis” and this is a wonderful B-side track.  Great bumpin’ bass, cool musical arrangement and her vocals plus the musical tweaks.  I love it!

The fourth track is the B-side track “Simulation” and it’s a ’80s-like synth pop style of musical track and a song that Eun Bi is promoted alongside with “Underwater” on her media showcase.  I love her vocals in  this song and it’s no doubt captivating.  But you also have to dig those deep bass booms and creative experimental approach in  its overall arrangement.

The fifth track is “Flash (Prod. PARKMOONCHI) and it’s a cool and groovy track that almost has that “Glitch” feel, but this is a cool collaboration with singer/songwriter Park Moonchi features cool beats and a jazzy touch.  A solid track!

The sixth track on “Lethality” is a fun, happy dance track.  And what made me smile a bit with this track, is it’s something I picture her fellow, former IZ*ONE member turned solo artist, Choi Yena or even Jo Yuri singing.  But it’s a cute, upbeat and happy dance track from Kwon Eun Bi.

And if anything, “Lethality” gives you a good taste of different styles of upbeat music from Kwon Eun Bi and I have to say it’s a non-skip mini-album.

But if anything, these last three mini-albums have shown us Kwon Eun Bi’s versatility as a solo music artist. We know she’s an awesome singer, but also on her resume is being a great leader, she’s an awesome songwriter who has written hits for other artists, an amazing dancer and just an impressive music artist.

If anything, I would like to hear and see a full-length studio album released by her.  But I have nothing bad to say about this third mini-album, as it’s her best mini-album release yet!
