I recently discovered the SHAMUNA, a clothing company based in Ecuador.
The brand prides itself for creating caps for “free and adventurous souls” and if you can’t make it to western South America, you can purchase the brand through Amazon.
Now, I wanted to try a SHAMUNA trucker hat and there are so many variety of hats available, but in the end, I chose the black symbol flat trucker hat.
One thing that I wondered about is that wooden-like surface in the front. I used to have a surf hat using that but the wood became brittle and broke, so I had second thoughts if it was the same.
But upon getting it, it’s like a corkwood type of material and you do get the large SHAMUNA logo and no wording, which I like.
Because of the lighting on the Amazon image, the front portion looks more yellow, but it’s actually more light brown and I like how the rim feels.
If anything, this hat (which is made in Colombia) is well-made and I’m going to keep my eyes on SHAMUNA from here on in. As long as they keep creating quality products, I’m willing to give more a try!
