I truly believe that it’s important for one to have a personal security safe in their home, one that would be used to protect important documents, devices or something with value.
And my review is for the Zogola 1.2 Cubic Personal Security Home Safe Box with Waterproof Fireproof Money Bag.
It’s important to note the safe itself is not fireproof or waterproof, only the bag.
Zogola offers various sizes such as 0.5 cubic, 0.8, 1.2 and 2.2.
I am reviewing the 1.2 Cub which has a personal combination lock safe.
Made of thick steel with a 4cm steel door and enforced with high strength bolts and does not use a plastic door. While heavy, it can be lifted but the safe is built like a tank.
While the safe box is metal, it does come with a fireproof bag for important documents, devices or something with value as mentioned.
There are three ways to lock/unlock and that is through the password segment which requires 3-8 digits, the other is an emergency battery box.
The security system allows for three tries in a row before locking for 20 seconds. If you are wrong six times a row, it will lock for five minutes.
The box also comes with a shelving unit, so you can separate top and bottom.
It does require a 1.5v battery (not included) for to power the safe’s keylock.
But overall, it’s an affordable, durable home safe. Three ways to unlock the safe is good, but for those looking for a safe that is fully waterproof and fireproof safe, you’ll need to look elsewhere which tend to cost a lot more.
So, what I do recommend is that you get fireproof/waterproof material bags to store in the safe just in case. But you do get one fireproof bag that comes with the safe.
