The One about the Amavasion VR Golf Club Adapter

When it comes to VR golf club adapters, there are a few things that I zero in on and that is safety features.

It’s important for me that the Meta Quest 2 controller stays in the base and is securely in place. There is no chance of it flying out and getting busted it up (because it does cost around $70 to replace one controller), that it doesn’t hit any surrounding things in your room and most importantly, there is no chance of a controller flying out after a hard swing and hurting someone.

Most VR golf club adapters tend to have a latch or pin to keep the touch controller in place or have more than one way to prevent the controller from flying out of its base area. Because in VR golf, you are going to do various types of swings and it’s important to find an adapter that works best for you but also has solid safety features.

The Amavasion VR Golf Club Adapter is one that can be used for both left and right handers which is a major plus.

Securing it to the base is fairly easy and it has an iron shaft and rubber grip offered in a variety of colors.

There is a little slot that the wrist strap that can help secure the controller and also a long strip of velcro to wrap around the controller.

With that being said, of all the golf club adapters I have so far tested, this is the first that has no latch or pin to hold the controller in place.

For me, this is important for safety and the Amavasion VR Golf Club Adapter doesn’t have it.

While the velcro strap does work, I found that I had to utilize the wrist strap as a secondary way of making sure the controller doesn’t fly out and wrapping it around the top ring and making sure the velcro reinforces that.

By having both in place, I was able to do a variety of swings, especially hard swings without any worries of the controller flying out.

I also had solid success in playing a game of golf, in this case “Golf+” and really tested this golf club adapter thoroughly.

While I can’t give it a perfect score due to no latch or pin, I will give it a four star review because I was able to secure the controller in place with the velcro strap and the controller wrist strap.

I do like the grip and how there are a variety of colors to choose from. And I like how the sensors are not obscured in anyway.

It’s a solid golf club adapter, but at nearly $80, there are cheaper ones that offer similar quality. But nevertheless, I do give the Amavasion VR Golf Club Adapter four stars!
