The One about the JOYTORN Quest 2 Charging Station

Since 2021, I have seen how Quest 2 Charging Stations have evolved.

For third party charging stations, they would charge your Quest 2 only but not the chargers. While second party products offered charging for all three but were quite expensive.

Now here we are in 2022, and I’m reviewing a Quest 2 charger from JOYTORN and this is for $41.99.

For one, it charges your Quest 2 and comes with rechargeable batteries for your controller that can be charged with the charging station thanks to the four USB-C magnets.

First, the good.

The good is that it’s a convenient way to store and charge your Quest 2 and it works. It’s a good charging station, but it’s specifically for those who keep their headset and controllers without any protection and using the stock strap.

Now the bad.

For those who use a special strap, use any special goggles, covers and so forth, it makes the headset too heavy that you won’t get a good charge or it will tip over. The thing is having less weight on it.

The second thing, if you are a person who uses silicon covers, attachments, etc. for your touch controllers, you are going to have to take it off quite a bit. I tend to get more mileage from alkaline batteries that will last me a month or two. This one, you literally will have to keep off it.

But overall, the charging station does work. Great for those who are not going to spend the money putting silicon covers or protectors or anything specialized for their Quest 2 and Touch controllers.

So, if you are the type who wants to keep your headset and controllers in an organized fashion and have it charging, then this charging station is for you. But for someone like myself, who has an elite strap, specialized goggles, golf club or beat saber attachments on my controllers, etc. It becomes cumbersome of having to remove these just to charge.

But it’s all subjective and if this is for you, then definitely give the JOYTORN Quest 2 Charging Station a chance!
