The One about the CONTEC MED LED CMS50M Black Pulse Oximeter

When it comes to devices to have in the house for health-related reasons, one should have an Oximeter along with a thermometer and also a way to take blood pressure in their home. I feel these are important.

So, how does an oximeter work? Quite easy, just put your finger in a slot and the device can detect the efficiency of oxygen in one’s blood and also small changes.

This time I am reviewing the CONTEC MED LED CMS50M Black Pulse Oximeter.

The device takes two AAA batteries and also comes with a lanyard.

The device is great for healthy, sports enthusiasts or those who have gotten sick or taking new medication and want to measure their SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation levels), and pulse rate with a bar graph.

But just put your finger in, click on the button to turn it on and just keep it in there for a mount 30 seconds to a minute or more to monitor your pulse and oxygen saturation. It’s easy to use.

The screen is easy to read thanks to the device’s OLED display.

Now one thing I have to emphasize, I’ve tried different Oximeters and many are close to each other, most often not the same. So, oximeters…there really is no accurate one and best to have two to ensure that it’s correct or similar to each other. But it’s always said that oximeters tend to produce a 2% difference (+/-). 95% is normal but if lower than 92%, it’s something to keep an eye on and also possibly contact your physician.

But again, I do recommend having two to see if the produce similar results.

But nonetheless, I do recommend the CONTEC MED LED CMS50M Black Pulse Oximeter which comes with Batteries and Lanyard and pouch for under $14, definitely worth having one at home.
