Tokyo’s waterfront district will be going through a massive redevelopment and various attractions will be closing at the end of this year and next year temporarily and are slated to reopen in 2023.
This is what is known so far:
Mega Web Toyota City Showcase will temporarily close starting on December 31st.
Zepp Tokyo will close on January 1st.
VenusFort will close on March 27th.
teamLab Borderless and Palette Town’s Giant Sky Wheel will close on August 31st. For teamLab, the Borderless location was awarded a certificate from Guiness World Records for “Most Visited Museum Dedicated to a Single Group or Artist in the World” and they plan to open a new site in the city centre in 2023.
