When it comes to Big Fudge products, I own quite a few. May it be their comic book bags and boards and then they have vinyl related items such as sleeves, vinyl rollers and more!
Big Fudge has made great products but now I come across something that while I like the idea behind the product, the execution is not as good as I was hoping, considering how other Big Fudge merchandise have been very good quality.
First, how this comic book storage works is you get separate parts made of hardwood with a mahogany veneer.
The parts are put together almost like a puzzle, as you slide panels into place and then you have a comic book storage, which can fit your comic books, manga, or other forms of light storage.
But while easy to put together, the problem is that there are no locking parts. If you set it on a flat surface, you’re good. You can carry it around but the problem is that if placed on an uneven surface, then you can see how the storage becomes offset.
As a guy with dozens of large comic boxes and have gone through comic boxes that get all beat up and are repeatedly lifted and if anything, I want a box that I can lift and set, and not worry about it breaking apart or panels coming out of another panel.
I really, really wanted to like this, but without any locking feature, it’s questionable durability and price, I give the Big Fudge Comic Book Storage with Comic Book Holder Display, a total of three stars.
