The One about the C.O. Bigelow Iconic Collection Aqua Mellis Body Lotion

When it comes to American pharmacies, C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries is the oldest surviving apothecary-pharmacy in the U.S. In fact, it’s so old that famous patrons who used the products include Thomas Edison, Eleanor Roosevelt and Mark Twain.

Owned by Ian Ginsberg C.O. Bigelow and founded in 1838 in New York’s Greenwich Village.

While most of the Bigelow stores are closed, the C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries on Sixth Avenue in New York, the original shop, is still around and their products are sold online and various stores.

Pretty much what they tend to sell these days that are quite popular is their hand wash, perfume, hand treatment, perfume oil, body cleanser, body scrub, hand sanitizer and other skin care products.

I am reviewing the C.O. Bigelow Iconic Collection Aqua Mellis Body Lotion which features a top note of watermelon, citrus and pear with mid notes of French lavender, watery orchid, geranium and violet with a dry down of honey, woods, musk and vanilla.

The fragrance is really good and both my wife and I liked the smell.  The body lotion is also formulated with borage oil, panthenol and grapeseed oil.

A good size bottle and at $24, it’s a lotion that I can definitely give a thumbs up!

Overall, the C.O. Bigelow Iconic Collection Aqua Mellis Body Lotion is a very good lotion from the oldest pharmacy/apothecaries in the US.  Great moisturizing body lotion, great scent and recommended!
