When it comes to work boots, KEEN is one of the best brands out there.
Based in Portland, Oregon, KEEN was founded back in 2003 by Martin Keen and Rory Fuerst and its founder is well-known for creating the Newport Sandals and later got into creating shoes for sailing and outdoor activities. It wasn’t until they expanded to utility work boots that many really started to take notice of how high quality their work boots are.
While the company will be known for its Newport Sandals, I will tell you that KEEN utility boots are quality work boots and in this review, I’m taking a look at the KEEN Utility San Jose Waterproof Soft Toe Work Boots.
The boots I’m reviewing are Cascade Brown and feature protected toe caps right in the front. I’ve learned my lesson when it comes to utility boots in having protection for minor impact. I actually dropped equipment which fractured my toe, so that’s why I’m pretty conscious that when I’m working with heavy equipment, I wear my Keen’s!
The traction features oil and slip resistant rubber outsoles and for comfort, the boots feature KEEN’s Luftcell air-infused midsole.
The boots are made of premium leather from a LWG-certified tannery and I have to say that these boots are comfortable and they look great!
For the Cascade Brown/Black, I just love the color combination with the brown leather on the soles with beige and bottom black.
I’ve worn these and have had no experiences of foot cramps and it’s quite fine for casual boots as well.
If anything, I give the KEEN Utility San Jose Waterproof Soft Toe Work Boots five stars for overall quality, comfort and protection! Highly recommended!
