The One about Purezza Vegan Pizza by Filippo Rosato, Tim Barclay and Stefania Evangelisti

In the UK, Purezza is known as the UK’s first vegan pizzeria, serving plant-based versions of classic Italian dishes and now their cookbook titled “Purezza Vegan Pizza” by Filippo Rosato, Tim Barclay and Stefania Evangelisti is available on Amazon.

The book is broken down into the following chapters:

Introduction
Equipment
Dough
Sauces
Cheeses
Toppings
Dressings and Dips
Pizza
Pasta
Desserts
Index

What I love about this book is that unlike other cookbooks which is mostly verbage and very little to no photos. “Purezza Vegan Pizza” features many wonderful photos courtesy of Faith Mason. That’s a plus for me and makes me want to purchase and own a cookbook. While not all recipes (for example, the toppings chapter) are accompanied by photos, there is still many photos featured in the book.

Another plus is that ingredients can be found at your grocery store. You’re not having to order from another state or country to make these dishes, as ingredients can be purchase (or grown).

As for the book, using “Dough” as a chapter, they show how they make their Whole Wheat Dough, Sourdough Starter, Gluten-Free Dough.

For “Sauces”, they show how to make San Marzano Plum Tomato and Basil Sauce, Regular Tomato Sauce, Marinara Sauce, Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto, Butternut Squash Sauce, Yellow Cherry Tomato and Basil Sauce, Pea Sauce, Asparagus Sauce, Chikpea and Lemon Sauce and Red Cabbage Sauce.

I actually also find their toppings to be interesting, for example, for caramelized onions, they use sunflower oil, red onions, Himalayan salt, soft brown sugar and balsamic vinegar.

And there is so much more that I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone. In fact, looking at the photos of the vegan pizza, calzone and pasta dishes are making me hungry!

I absolutely love this book and grateful for the Purezza team for creating this book for the many people who love their pizza or those who want to make delicious vegan pizza.

“Purezza Vegan Pizza” by Filippo Rosato, Tim Barclay and Stefania Evangelisti is deserving of five stars! Highly recommended!
