The One about Hanami – Part 5 (And the Best Part of Hanami is…)

I’m sure everyone has an answer of what they love about Hanami.  For me, it was the amazing people I’ve met.

I’ve been to many Hanami parties and they are all fun during when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.  Afterward, with the cherry blossoms gone, the vibe wasn’t the same.  Way less people but here are my fascinating experiences from Hanami.

Of course, it’s absolutely beautiful to see the cherry blossoms and to be underneath it all!

Yoyogi Park police are very strict about not blasting your music and to not create disturbances.  But one group next to us were drunk but they wanted to blast their music (they actually had a full setup running off a generator).

It began with a warning from one park security, then several an hour later and then after repeated warnings unheard… The next thing you know, an army of park security came.

With the amount of alcohol consumed, you can imagine there are people passed out in the park… Like this dude.  Many were walking by, getting a peek and wondering if he was going to get sunburned.

And of course, the awesome part about Hanami is hanging out with so many awesome people from all over the world!
