The One about my Almond Flour Burger Bun Recipe

As I am always find ways to eat my veggie or turkey burgers, I decided to figure out ways to make almond flour burger buns.

This is the second version I made, which I enjoyed much more than the first version using a recipe from online.  I also found a small three-piece pan which I can use to shape the buns, which made it much easier to make.

My recipe is as follows:

  • Mix 4 eggs in a bowl
  • Add 2 tablespoons of baking powder
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • Mix 1.75 cups of almond flour and stir
  • Add Italian seasoning, a little salt and pepper

Now I used a convection oven, not my normal oven (which I hardly use anymore as I prefer the convection oven these days).

I bake it for about 20 minutes at 400F, when it’s done, while it may look solid, almond flour takes a while to bake in the convection oven, so I flip it with the bottom now pointing up for an additional 10 minutes.  And that’s it!

I then cut the buns in half right in the middle and it’s ready to go!
