The One about Yellow House in Los Angeles, CA (Koreatown)

One of the locations that is known for their Korean menu (and many other offerings) but also a restaurant/cafe that is open until 2:00 a.m. on a Friday and Saturday night is the Yellow House.

We were pretty much hungry after attending KCON LA 2019 (first concert at the Staples Center) and my brother has heard good things about this cafe/restaurant and told us about it and we all had to give it a try.

While its near a residential area, there is metered parking out front but also a big sign for people to not park at the Oxford Plaza.  But we were a bit surprised that even late, the place is still packed with patrons.  So, that’s a promising sign that the place is no doubt popular.

And as one can see immediately, it’s a big Yellow House!  with a wooden exterior and also interior.

The  customer service was good while we were there.  For the most part, the restaurant is clean and there is good room to sit with family and friends.

The place offers smoking and nonsmoking and it’s a very diverse place, so unlike other Korean restaurants which feature many Korean patrons, you’ll see many people of different ethnicities eating at Yellow House.

And they also have a cool video on YouTube:

While they serve Korean food, there is also numerous other types of dishes that are non-Korean as well.  And also a large variety of beverages.

But the place is no doubt a cool destination if you enjoy dukboki (or tteok-bokki).  You can also find bulgogi bibimbob, pork cutlets, dumplings and more!

We went for the Yellow House Dukboki (or tteok-bokki) platter, Tokyo Curry, Korean BBQ Beef Sushi Roll and other things that I can’t remember because it was so late.

But drinks are 50% off with an entree and definitely check out their menu.  They are offer so much!

ddukbokki (I tend to use “tteokbokki”) is a popular Korean food and featured is a thick cylinder-shaped rice cake.  It’s also absolutely delicious!

But the platter had ramyeon, dumplings and more!

The Tokyo Curry was delicious and for the most part, we like the fact that it’s another late night destination that one can visit, eat well and not worry about it being too loud or obnoxious.

The Korean BBQ sushi roll was also great!

So, overall, the food is pretty good at the Yellow House.  We had no problems in regards to being served and the customer service was good and the food was delicious!

And another plus is that Yellow House also delivers and you can order online!

For the most part, each of us enjoyed Yellow House.  Others recommended the kimchi bacon pasta, so we’ll have to try this place again next time!

I have noticed the reference to the location is Yellow House and it doesn’t have the Yellow House Cafe logo anymore.

But if anything, I’m glad to have tried this place and whenever I’m back in Los Angeles (Koreatown area), I’m definitely coming back to Yellow House.

I recommend it, may you be there for Korean cuisine or wanting a late place to eat near Koreatown!  Yellow House is recommended!
