For those who happened to be at East Ikebukuro, you’ll notice that early morning breakfasts are not happening as most restaurants in the area open at 11:00 and 11:30 a.m.
Fortunately, right on Minami-Ikebukuro Park is a restaurant called Racines FARM to PARK which opens at 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The park is a public-private partnership between Grip and Toshima Ward.
Grip has two Racine restaurants, one located at the park and another one a few blocks from the park, which is a Bistro.
There is something that people should know about Racines FARM to PARK, go early, because certain food items may be sold out later in the morning.
For breakfast, you can get their morning plate which consists of Racines bread, butter and jam for Y480 or their Special Morning Place which comes with Racines Bread, Sunny Side Up Eggs, Bacon and Salad for Y700. And pancakes dishes sold on the weekend for up to Y1500.
But it’s their lunch that they offer quite a bit more, from their Porchetta Sandwich, Hot Dog, Pork Ginger, Hamburg, Organic Salad & Roast Chicken.
And brunch which they sell burritos, sandwiches, pizza, curry and more around 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
So, for the picky eaters or those who are looking for something more western in terms of meal, can definitely find it at Racines FARM to PARK.
Drinks from coffee, coke, orange juice, ginger ale and oolong tea are sold. Sometimes there are seasonal drinks, for example, this summer they are selling watermelon (suica) drinks.

It’s important to note that I didn’t take a picture of the interior because they looked quite busy inside. But the interior is quite large and spacious and features everything has a wooden look.
Overall,if you happen to be near Minami-Ikebukuro Park and you need something to eat,you can always depend on Racines FARM to PARK as it is the primary restaurant right at the park. Cool interior, good food, clean environment and possibly one of the few places that are open for breakfast in the nearby vicinity at 8:00 a.m.
