The One about the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Meguro – Part 8 – My final thoughts…

I have to say that the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Meguro/Nakameguro was one of my highlights in this latest trip.

After experiencing as much as possible at Starbucks Reserve Roastery, I have to say that the only thing I could best describe this location is that it’s almost like a theme park for Starbucks fans (a bit of an exaggeration but hopefully you know what I mean by saying that) and for the coffee lover.

I’ve been to many Starbucks and this is nothing like what you experience at home.  There is just so much to see, things to do and literally you can keep yourself occupied at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery for hours.

There are a few things I do recommend:

  1. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a bit of a walk if you arrive via Daikanyama Station.
  2. Best to get their in the morning if you don’t like waiting in line and want to get a seat.
  3. Don’t eat or drink prior if you want to experience the food and drinks.  There is so much offered that you feel obliged to try as much as you can.
  4. If you noticed while waiting in line for the Rocco Princi that the tables are full near the center area, it’s best to head upstairs to eat and you can also eat on the patio outdoors as well.
  5. Expect to spend a lot for Starbucks Reserve Roastery merchandise.
  6. Bring a backpack, so you can stick a lot of your merch inside it, as you will make the walk back to the station and the last thing is holding the merchandise bag all the way back.
  7. It’s important to know that once you get in, you can’t go outside and comeback immediately.  Due to the amount of people, they go by a number system and when you leave, that factors into the amount of people who are waiting in line to come back in.
  8. The longest wait in line is to get in (15-20 minutes when I went, but it may be shorter or longer depending on the number of people in line) and the other line is the food section for Rocco Princi.

But overall, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Meguro is a wonderful experience and coffee and Starbucks fans must put this location on their bucketlist if traveling to Tokyo!
