The One about Super Mercado Leon in Lemoore

A week before the Surf Ranch Pro in Lemoore, my friend Fidel recommended me to try Super Mercadeo Leon, a taqueria (Mexican restaurant) and carniceria (Mexican meat butcher) establishment in the downtown area.

I have often heard positive things about this establishment, when it comes to purchasing meat to the tacos and burritos.

So, I figured why not give it a try but also this would be a good opportunity for me to continue my testing of the LG V35 ThinQ smartphone and see how well this camera does for interior shots.

In Lemoore, I reviewed a previous taqueria and carniceria and for this establishment, there is eating space but primarily the space is utilized for the market and the serving area.

I was there for the morning and ordered two breakfast burritos for me and Angela and for the most part the place was clean and the wait didn’t take long.

Noticed that the chorizo breakfast burritos were $4.89 with tax, which would be great because that would mean it is the cheapest breakfast burritos we have spent in Lemoore.  But in the end, we ended up paying $15.

So, perhaps we got regular chorizo burritos hence the price.  I didn’t bother to ask if they were breakfast or regular burritos, because regardless, I felt the price was reasonable, as I would have paid probably similar or more anywhere else.  And no matter where I travel, I’m always supportive of local businesses.

But let’s give the burritos a try!

So, what we received was actually a breakfast burrito.

For the most part, the burritos were good size, not the largest we tried in Lemoore but the ingredients were great and had a good amount of potatoes and chorizo and egg.

It was quite delicious.  They ask you if you want salsa and they add it to the burrito already.  But for the most part, it’s very good but how does it rank among the other breakfast burritos in Lemoore?

Well, for one, if the breakfast burritos were under $5 that would be an insane deal.  But let’s assume they were $7, that would make it .50 more than Tacos Los Juanes, .58 more than Panchitos, .47 more than Carniceria Panaderia and a $1.50 more than Chicas (which has less inside).

I felt that Carniceria Panaderia, the other taqueria y carniceria several blocks away, was the largest of the breakfast burritos in Lemoore so far and had a much better offering of ingredients.

But Super Mercado Leon was delicious and also had a little kick which I liked.  I also liked the flavor of the chorizo.

For the most part, what is the best burrito will always be subjective to the eater.  But many feel the location is the best in Lemoore, so it’s definitely worth a try!
