The One about the adidas Performance Men’s Adizero Ubersonic 2

For my latest shoe review, I take a look at the adidas Performance Men’s Adizero Ubersonic 2.

For those looking for a tennis shoe that is lightweight and designed for quickness and stability, the shoe is crafted with Adidas SPRINTFRAME chassis for stability and for one to take quick cuts, while the mesh-reinforced outsole reduces the weight of the shoe and provides durability.

The mesh is a double-layer stretch mess upper which keeps air flowing to the shoes.

When it comes to the Adidas lineup of performance shows, it’s typically between the ADIZERO UBERSONIC 2.0 or the BARRICADE SHOES.

Aesthetics wise, differences are that the BARRICADES have a Geofit padding, the design for the sole allows for stability on the midfoot. Obvious design differences on how the ADIZERO UBERSONIC 2.0 has the flexible plastic section on the heel counter to the ties, while the BARRICADES have an extension of the sole to the middle of the shoe upwards from the shank. Again, primarily for aesthetics.

Also, the BARRICADE’s has a tongue, the ADIZERO UBERSONIC 2.0 do not.

It’s important to note that I felt the ADIZERO UBERSONIC 2.0 are somewhat short, you will want to add a 1/2 inch more. I actually have to get an extra inch, so instead of my usual 11’s, I got 12’s specifically for the UBERSONIC’s.

At first I questioned the design, but after wearing it and testing it out, these shoes are actually well-made and durable. They were no doubt light and dig the Adidas logo and the U2 logos on the counter.

But overall, these are solid tennis shoes. Some may feel the flexible plastic on the rear is overkill and not needed, while some will like the overall look. But overall, a light performance tennis shoe worth checking out!

But if you are looking for lightweight,
