The One about the Kobe Beef Potato Chips

Before leaving Kobe to go back to Tokyo, I purchased a bag of Kobe Beef Potato Chips (more appropriately, “Kobe beef-flavored potato chips).

While I don’t partake in potato chips all that much, while I was in Tokyo, each day was literally a cheat day [yes, I know…bad, me!]

But the curiosity was what attracted me to purchasing a bag.  I mean seriously, potato chips with the flavor of Kobe steak?

The good news, it’s not as expensive as Kobe beef, but it’s the price of a family-sized bag of chips in the US, considering it’s a little more than our small-sized bag of chips.

Personally, I didn’t taste the Kobe Steak.  If anything, it tasted like a well-seasoned potato chip.

It was very good as I scarfed this on the train, trying to tone down my crunches, not to have people in the shinkansen looking towards my direction.

But for what it’s worth, the chips are good but by no means is it any replacement on trying the real Kobe beef.

You can only find these in Kobe, I personally have not seen Kobe Beef Potato Chips in the Kanto region.  But if you are at Shin-Kobe Station, you can pick these up from the stores inside the station.
