The One about the Plantronics BackBeat GO 600 Noise-Isolating Headphones

I have been using the Plantronics BackBeat GO 600 Noise-Isolating Headphones for almost two months now and I have been able to find out the positives and negatives of these headphones.

First, let’s begin with the positives.

Plantronics is a well-known brand for creating headsets that are great for casual or for workouts. While their Plantronics Wireless Noise Cancelling Backbeat – Headphones (Black & Tan) (Pro 2) are known for immersive, high-res sound, noise canceling and 24 hours listen time.

The Plantronics BackBeat Go 600 headphones last up to 18 hours of listening time, offers noise-isolation thanks to its ear cups , two modes of premium sound: bass boost or balanced and a wireless range of up to 33 ft.

The headphones for the most part are very good for under $100 wireless head phones. I found it simple to use right out of the box as my computer detected the headphones immediately, as did my phone. So, the hard part of pairing for some headphones, was actually quite easy with this Plantronics BackBeat Go 600.

The headphones have a switch that allows for turning the headphones on and off, the side allows you to pause but also to skip tracks by forward or reverse.

The headphones were quite comfortable and fit good around my ears, no pain afterward. That’s another plus for these headphones.

For the most part, the audio was good and better than other wireless headphones within the same pricepoint or lower.

But this leads to my negatives, the sound is not always consistent as I felt there was signal loss from time to time. And I wasn’t that far from the device. This is with a fully-charged battery.

I did do a test of walking further away and seeing what happens when I get 33 ft. and the immediately, the signal cut off (you get a voice telling you that the phones have turned off).

I notice some uneveness with the bass at times, but at the same time, I was quite happy to see the bass boost being offered.

I did go back and forward to my high-end Bluetooth headphones and noticed a difference in clarity and highs. But if anything, it showed me more of a difference between $300+ headphones vs. under $100 headphones.

There is another switch to shut off the mic and turning it back on, for those who plan to answer calls from their smartphone.

It’s important to note that these headphones are plastic with a memory foam headband.  There is no aluminum or metal casing on the headphones.  If you accidentally step on them or dropped them, I’m not sure if these headphones are durable enough to handle much pressure.

But nevertheless, the Plantronics BackBeat Go 600 headphones worked very good for its pricepoint. The noise isolation worked very well, they were comfortable and had no ear pain in the two months of using these headphones. And the simple setup was great!

Also, the headphones come with a USB charge cable, 3.5 mm cable and a gray travel sleeve.

Overall, the Plantronics BackBeat Go 600 headphones. I didn’t have any defects as some reviewers have reported but aside from the breakup of audio (which is why I deducted a star) a few times, for the most part, these headphones worked well for me. And probably may be my go to headphones to use during travel.

But for its pricepoint and the support of a major company, the Plantronics BackBeat Go 600 may not be perfect, nor it may be great, but they are good headphones for those who need something simple, straightforward without any major adjustment.

The Plantronics Backbeat GO 600 Noise-Isolating Headphones are available in black, gray, navy and khaki.
