Located in Akihabara at atre1 is a bakery known as DONQ Boulangerie Francaise.
DONQ is just one of the few bakeries located throughout Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore.
Established in Kobe, Japan back in 1905, the company’s creed has always been “Customer and Quality oriented company” and have been delivering customers the best quality breads through “Scratch Baking”, an end-to-end baking style which includes kneading the dough, shaping the bread and baking it.
DONQ has the reputation of creating the best baguettes in Tokyo but the location uses flor form France, Italy and three regions in Japan.
It’s important to note that DONQ is not the big Don Quijote discount store chain that people will find in Japan.
So, if you are in Japan or somewhere in Asia with a DONQ, definitely give the location a try!
