The One about Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Part 6 (Final)

As I return back to the West Gate Entrance, I realized that I only covered 45% of the Hitachi Seaside park, there are so many things yet to explore on the the opposite end (where the gardens and dunes are located).  But unfortunately, after a few hours of exploring, there is just so much out there than I had time for.

As much as I enjoyed Hitachi Seaside Park and now I long to visit this park once again when the flowers are in full bloom , I can only stand and look at the West Lake one more time before heading to my next destination in Ibaraki.

As I headed back to the entrance, there was one more forest area still around.  It’s called the Tamago no Mori Forest (tamago means “egg” in Japanese).

Unlike the other forest locations at Hitachi Seaside Park, this one has children in mind with egg shape structures they can go inside.

Currently, the area has no flower garden since it was in December, but from what I’ve read, there are typically many flowers near the Tamago no Mori Forest area, but it looks as if they were planting flowers and doing construction, so certain areas were blocked off.

But as I walked towards the entrance, I saw one little fella who couldn’t wait to get started on his walk through the park.

Overall, my experience at Hitachi Seaside Park was fantastic.

I’m just so amazed of how huge this park is and how many things it has to offer.  And as mentioned, I was only able to cover 45% of this park as there is so much to do and it’s so widespread that you really need a day to explore this entire park.

While I went on a December when the park was not as beautiful as it is in the spring or fall, there is still much to do and much to enjoy at this tranquil, peaceful park.

Because it’s so huge, make sure you have your walking shoes on and have some beverages and food in your backpack just in case you get thirsty/hungry and know that there are rest areas around the park, but it’ll take some walking to get to some of them.

Overall, Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki is definitely one of the better parks I have visited in Japan.  And I definitely recommend people to visit this park when the flowers are in full bloom.
